In this podcast, the question of “How Do I Choose what to Focus On?” is answered.
Does it seem like you are juggling a lot of tasks within your business and can’t seem to figure out how to choose what to focus on?
We all get caught up in the to-do’s of our everyday and forget to consistently step back and analyze what exactly it is we need to focus on.
Start by throwing out the list of what “you need to do”. Understand that some things will never get done. These distractions will prevent you from getting to where you want to be within your business.
When you’re trying to figure out what exactly it is you need to focus on in your business, the first thing is to find what is working.
- Look at your income
- Go through your client list. Look at where your income is coming from.
- For every client that comes into your business, label and tag them with their lead source, what they bought, and the earnings made from their purchase
- Rank your income sources: Figure out how many clients have come in over the last year from your income sources
- Use the 80/20 rule: 80 PERCENT OF YOUR INCOME has come from 20 PERCENT OF YOUR INCOME SOURCES
- Work from a point of strength
- People tend to get caught up in growing their business and jump around to reach their goals
- Focus on the small movements within your business and use those to your advantage, those will create big leaps
- Imagine a bullseye: from the center of it, work to the outside: those are the strategies you already have that are working best. The core is the point of strength.
- People tend to get caught up in growing their business and jump around to reach their goals
- Your next big sale, will come those past sales
- The people who have already invested in your business will be the ones to pay you more
- Don’t try and balance more than 3-5 core priorities: Just by focusing on these 3-5 core points will allow you to get centered and bring your business to where you want it to be
- Do these with consistency, intensity, focus, passion and make sure you are following through with each one
When you’re trying to move beyond the point of strength and are looking to add more strategies, remember any strategy you add, will work.
Are you stressing about which strategy would best to implement? It’s not about which one is the “best” but —
- Are you going to be able to fully commit and follow through? Are you push through and get the results you are looking for?
- Be sure that the strategy fits into your business before putting it into place and that it fits with where you are currently at within your business
By implementing these core business strategies, wondering “How Do I Choose What to Focus On?” won’t seem so difficult!
- Creating full coverage of current and previous clients within your business will facilitate upsells and reactivations
- You need a list building strategy
- Is there something that happens every single week in your company? Use it because it’s going to create leads and more sales in the long run to grow your business
- Need to have a conversion strategy
- Assign someone within your business to make outbound phone calls, take those leads you are making online, take what’s converting in your email marketing to double and triple it.
