It’s been said over and over again…we are living in unprecedented times.
Yet the truth remains – none of us has the answers.
Which is why it is important to gather and gain perspective. Perspective is everything when it comes to moving forward in life and trying to enjoy the journey along the way.
Let’s get really honest…this is not going to be a quick transition.
We are probably looking at a year or longer before everything settles down and we return to any realm of normalcy. We need to be aware of this and talk about it as leaders in the business community. I want to challenge you to lead forward and make 3 important decisions to grow during this economic downturn.
Decide HOW are you going to Emerge and WHO are you going to be when you Emerge.
You will come out on the other side of this crisis but life will be different. There will be an economic impact but there will also be an ending point. It is important for you to make decisions now based on a long-term perspective. How can you operate from the other side and emerge in the position you want to be? Don’t make hasty decisions that seem like smart, short term answers, but that will have a negative impact, or water down your brand in the future.
Realize this is the end of the world as we know it.
Everything is over as we know it. However, everything is changing and that can also be exciting. New industries and innovations will emerge. Now is the time to let go of what was, embrace what is and transition into a better, stronger future.
Identify how this can be a metamorphosis moment for you.
Take this opportunity to react, respond, and reinvent yourself. The art of reinvention allows you to elevate and rise no matter what challenges you face. Let this catapult you into the next best version of yourself.
There are unbelievable life lessons for us in this season. You can provide for your family by working from home without being gone for hours and hours each day. And as a leader, you can find those lessons and see this as an opportunity to serve more, move forward, be better, and grow stronger. Your business doesn’t have to be a casualty of this pandemic. It might look completely different – and so might you.
But…
Remember, unstoppable is a choice every single day.
Will you let the current state of the world stop you, or will you keep pushing forward, solving problems and serving your community.
Reinvent yourself, your business, and your future if need be – but don’t stop.
